Blanco 442677 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Blanco Rivana faucet meet 1.5 GPM low-flow requirements?
The Rivana runs at 1.5 GPM, which Blanco states is about 30 percent less water than a standard kitchen faucet. That puts it under the 1.8 GPM threshold most water-conservation programs and green building specs look for on kitchen faucets, so it works where a low-flow aerator is called out on the plumbing schedule.
2) What finishes does the Blanco Rivana pull-down kitchen faucet come in?
The Rivana high-arc pull-down comes in six finishes: Polished Chrome (442677), PVD Steel (442678), Satin Gold (442985), Matte Black (443020), Satin Platinum (443249) and Satin Dark Steel (443267). Blanco's premium finishes resist tarnishing and corrosion, which matters if you're standardizing sink and faucet finishes across a batch of units.
3) Is the Blanco Rivana a real pull-down or just a pull-out spray?
It's a true pull-down. The spray head is concealed in the high-arc spout and pulls straight down into the bowl, with an insulated hand spray and a dual-spray button that toggles between a solid stream and a wide spray. The spout also swivels 170 degrees, so it clears a second bowl or a drainboard without you repositioning the faucet.
4) Is the Blanco Rivana faucet body solid brass or plastic?
Solid brass body. That's the durability question property managers and MRO buyers ask first on a multi-unit rollout, and it's why this one holds up better than a zinc or plastic-bodied residential faucet in heavy-use kitchens.
5) Will the 170 degree swivel on the Rivana clear a double-bowl sink?
Yes. The 170 degree spout swivel covers both bowls of a standard double-bowl sink from a single deck-mounted hole, and the high-arc spout gives clearance for filling stock pots. Combined with the pull-down spray head, you can reach the far corners of either bowl.
6) How do I order a specific finish of the Blanco Rivana, and are the part numbers different?
Each finish is its own Blanco part number, so order by number rather than by the RIV442HAF series name: 442677 Chrome, 442678 PVD Steel, 442985 Satin Gold, 443020 Matte Black, 443249 Satin Platinum, 443267 Satin Dark Steel. Distributors and procurement buyers matching a submittal should quote the finish-specific number.
7) Why does the Blanco Rivana spray hose feel thicker than other faucets?
The hand spray is insulated. That jacket keeps condensation off the hose when you run cold water and keeps the hose from sweating into the cabinet below, and it makes the hose more comfortable to hold on hot-water runs. It's a normal part of the assembly, not an add-on.
