TOTO TLS01201U#CP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) How many holes does the TOTO LB TLS01201U faucet need in the sink deck?
Three holes. The LB TLS01201U is a widespread, deck-mounted faucet, so the spout and the two lever handles each land in their own hole. If your lavatory or countertop is drilled 4-inch centerset or single-hole, this is the wrong configuration for the deck as drilled.
2) What supply connections does the TOTO LB TLS01201U use, and are hoses included?
The connections are 1/2 inch NPSM, and the water supply hoses ship with the faucet. That mates to standard 1/2 inch lavatory supply stops, so for most rough-ins you only need the stops and risers already at the wall.
3) Does the TOTO LB faucet come with a drain, or do I order that separately?
A metal pop-up drain and lift rod are in the box along with the spout and handles, so you are not buying a separate drain assembly for the lavatory.
4) Is the TOTO LB TLS01201U faucet ADA compliant for a public or commercial restroom?
Yes, it is ADA compliant, and it uses lever handles, which is the handle type ADA work generally calls for. It also carries WaterSense certification and meets CEC and CALGreen requirements, which matters on California projects and on green building specs.
5) Will a 1.2 GPM bathroom faucet fill a basin fast enough for a hotel or apartment bathroom?
1.2 GPM is the high-efficiency flow rate WaterSense certification requires for lavatory faucets, and it is the rate CEC and CALGreen projects are written around. For handwashing at a bathroom sink it is the current standard; it is not intended for filling large vessels quickly. If your spec sheet calls out 1.2 GPM max, the LB TLS01201U meets it as shipped.
6) What is the spout height and reach on the TOTO LB widespread faucet? Will it clear a vessel-style basin?
Spout height is 4.5 inches and reach is 4.75 inches. That is a low-profile spout sized for a standard drop-in or undermount lavatory. On a raised vessel bowl the spout will sit too low to clear the rim, so a vessel-height faucet is the right call there.
7) Can the TOTO LB TLS01201U be installed on a single-hole or 4-hole deck instead?
It can go into a single-hole deck, and into a 4-hole configuration with a cover plate that is sold separately. Order the plate at the same time if that is your deck, since the faucet does not ship with one.
8) What exact part number do I order for the TOTO LB widespread faucet in polished chrome?
TLS01201U#CP is the polished chrome order number. The #CP suffix is TOTO's finish code for polished chrome, and it covers the faucet, the lever handles, the pop-up drain, and the supply hoses as one package.
9) What is the faucet body made of, and how do the cartridges hold up in high-traffic restrooms?
Solid brass construction, with ceramic disc cartridges that carry a Diamond-Like Carbon coating (TOTO calls it COMFORT GLIDE) to cut friction on the discs. The spout and handles are solid metal with a plated finish. The handles also use low-conductivity material so they do not pick up heat from the hot side.
