TOTO TH559EDV554 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO TH559EDV554 cover plate used for?
It's a stainless steel cover plate for TOTO EcoPower sensor flush valve installations, measuring 12 x 14 inches. It covers the wall opening behind the valve where the EcoPower unit and its rough-in sit, giving a finished face on the wall.
2) My EcoPower valve access opening is larger than 12 by 14 inches. Will this plate cover it?
No. The TOTO EcoPower cover plate is a fixed 12 x 14 inch stainless panel, so it only conceals an opening that falls inside those dimensions. If the wall was cut oversize, the opening has to be patched down before this plate will close it out.
3) Is the TOTO EcoPower cover plate stainless steel or chrome-plated plastic?
Stainless steel. That matters in a high-traffic commercial restroom, where a plated plastic plate gets scratched and discolored around the fasteners. The plate measures 12 x 14 inches.
4) Is the TOTO TH559EDV554 a repair part or does it come with a new EcoPower valve?
It's ordered as a separate part, TOTO part number TH559EDV554. Buy it when the original plate is damaged, missing after a wall repair, or when a retrofit exposes an opening the existing trim doesn't cover.
5) I manage several buildings with TOTO EcoPower flushometers. Can I standardize on one cover plate across all of them?
Yes. The TH559EDV554 stainless plate is the EcoPower cover plate across the line rather than a per-model item, so one part number covers the EcoPower openings in a fleet of restrooms. All of them finish the same 12 x 14 inch stainless.
