TOTO TET2LA33#SS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the TOTO EcoEFV TET2LA33#SS meet a 1.28 gpf water-use spec on a commercial restroom drawing?
Yes. The EcoEFV concealed flush valve flushes at 1.28 gallons, which is the high-efficiency toilet rate specified on most commercial and multi-family water conservation drawings.
2) Which TOTO flush valve part number should I give my plumber for the stainless EcoEFV concealed unit?
Specify TOTO TET2LA33#SS. That is the manufacturer part number for the 1.28 gpf EcoEFV concealed toilet flush valve in the #SS finish, and it is the number to put on a purchase order or submittal.
3) What does a concealed flush valve like the TOTO TET2LA33#SS require behind the wall?
Being a concealed valve, the body mounts inside the wall chase and only the cover plate shows in the restroom. That means you need an accessible chase or access panel behind the fixture at rough-in, and the wall depth has to take the valve body. Exposed-valve toilets do not need that chase, so if the wall is solid a concealed EcoEFV is the wrong choice.
4) Is the TOTO EcoEFV sold with the toilet bowl included?
No. TET2LA33#SS is a flush valve only. A complete installation also needs the water closet bowl, the supply rough-in, and any carrier the fixture calls for, all ordered separately.
5) Is the TOTO TET2LA33#SS a stainless or polished-chrome trim plate?
The TET2LA33#SS suffix #SS is TOTO's stainless finish designation, so the exposed plate is stainless rather than polished chrome. Worth checking against the other valves and grab bars in the room if you are standardizing a restroom finish.
