TOTO TET1UAX#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO TET1UAX#CP a complete toilet or just the flush valve?
It's the flush valve, not a bowl. The TET1UAX#CP is TOTO's EcoEFV exposed flushometer, ordered as the valve that mounts to a wall-hung or floor-mount bowl already set on the job. Property managers replacing a failed flushometer in a commercial restroom order this and keep the existing fixture; if the china itself is cracked or being replaced, the bowl is a separate order.
2) How many gallons per flush does the TOTO EcoEFV TET1UAX#CP flushometer use?
One gallon per flush. That matters when you're standardizing a building: a 1.0 gallon valve put on a bowl engineered for 1.6 gallons can leave you with carry problems on long or low-slope drain lines, so match the valve volume to what the bowl is rated for before swapping. On bowls specified for 1.0 gpf it's a direct volume match.
3) Does an exposed flushometer like the TOTO EcoEFV need a wall access panel?
No. Exposed means the valve body and the supply are mounted out in front of the finished wall where you can reach the stop and rebuild the valve without opening anything up. That's why exposed flushometers are the usual pick for schools, arenas and other high-traffic MRO work: service is a wrench job at the fixture. A concealed valve hides behind the wall and needs an access panel for the same repair, which is the trade-off if appearance or tamper resistance is driving the spec.
