TOTO THU842#01-A – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO part THU842#01-A?
THU842#01-A is a TOTO push button flush valve assembly supplied with the actuating rods. It is the trip mechanism for the tank, not a complete tank or toilet, so you order it when the push button or rod linkage has failed rather than replacing the whole fixture. The #01 suffix is TOTO's cotton white finish code.
2) I manage a property with TOTO push button toilets and the buttons stick. Do I replace the whole valve?
For a sticking or unresponsive push button on a TOTO dual-flush tank, the assembly and its rods are the part that fails, and THU842#01-A replaces both together. That avoids pulling the tank. Confirm the part number called out for your specific tank model before you order a batch, because TOTO uses different THU numbers across tank families and they are not interchangeable.
3) Does the THU842 push button assembly come in more than one color?
This assembly is sold in a single configuration, THU842#01-A. The #01 colour code is TOTO's cotton white, which is the finish that matches the great majority of TOTO tanks in the field. If your tank lid trim is a different TOTO colour code, you need the matching variant of the part rather than this one.
