TOTO THU9131 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO THU9131 part used for?
THU9131 is a hose clamp that goes with the NEOREST 500 water supply hose. It is a toilet-seat side supply part, so it belongs on the water feed into the washlet seat rather than anywhere in the fixture's flush path.
2) Is THU9131 the actual supply hose or just the clamp?
It is the clamp only. The TOTO part number THU9131 covers the hose clamp associated with the NEOREST 500 water supply hose, so if the hose itself is split or kinked you need the hose as a separate TOTO part, not this one.
3) Which TOTO model does the THU9131 hose clamp belong to?
The NEOREST 500. TOTO service parts are model-specific, so a clamp called out for the NEOREST 500 water supply hose should be ordered against that model rather than assumed to carry across other NEOREST or Washlet units.
4) I have a leak at the water supply connection on my NEOREST washlet seat. Do I need THU9131?
If the weep is at the hose-to-barb joint rather than at a threaded fitting, the clamp is the part that holds that joint, and THU9131 is the NEOREST 500 supply hose clamp. A leak at a compression or threaded supply connection is a different repair and this clamp will not fix it.
5) Can I substitute a generic stainless hose clamp for the TOTO THU9131?
For a like-for-like repair on a NEOREST 500, order the TOTO part. THU9131 is the clamp TOTO specifies for that supply hose, and a hardware-store worm-drive clamp is not dimensionally matched to it. For a facility standardizing on NEOREST washlets, keeping the TOTO part number on the MRO list keeps the repair consistent across seats.
6) Does the THU9131 hose clamp come in different finishes or sizes?
No. THU9131 is a single part number with no size or finish choices to specify, so there is nothing to select when ordering beyond quantity.
