TOTO THU9260 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is TOTO THU9260, a whole tank lid or just the bumpers?
THU9260 is the lid bumper set for the TOTO C110 tank, not a replacement china lid. The bumpers are the small pads that sit between the lid and the rim of the tank so the porcelain doesn't rest china-on-china. If your lid is cracked or chipped, this part won't help you; you need a replacement lid assembly instead.
2) My toilet tank lid rattles or the lid rocks, do I need new bumpers?
Usually yes. A lid that shifts or clicks when someone bumps the tank is almost always worn or missing bumper pads. On a TOTO C110 tank the replacement set is THU9260. Fitting them is a maintenance job, no tools and no draining the tank, which is why property managers keep a few on the shelf rather than swapping lids.
3) What color are the TOTO THU9260 lid bumpers?
The THU9260 bumper assembly is supplied in TOTO's Cotton finish, which is their standard white china color. Since the pads sit under the lid rim they're barely visible in use, but matching Cotton keeps them from showing as a dark line at the joint on a white tank.
