TOTO THU4288#BN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THU4288#BN part for a Lloyd shower?
THU4288#BN is the TOTO Lloyd shower head canopy assembly, the brushed-finish canopy component rather than a complete shower valve or trim kit. Order it by that part number when you are replacing just the canopy on an existing Lloyd shower head.
2) Does the THU4288 shower head canopy come in a brushed nickel finish to match the rest of my Lloyd trim?
The #BN suffix on THU4288 is the brushed finish, and that is the only finish this part number carries. If your other Lloyd trim is polished chrome or another finish, you need the matching TOTO suffix for that finish instead of #BN.
3) Will the TOTO Lloyd canopy assembly fix a leaking shower valve?
No. THU4288#BN is a canopy assembly for the Lloyd shower head, a cover component. A leak at the valve is a cartridge or valve body problem, so you would be ordering the wrong part. Replace the canopy only when it is damaged, corroded, or the finish no longer matches.
4) I manage several properties with TOTO Lloyd showers. Can I order this canopy as a repair part without replacing the whole shower head?
Yes. THU4288#BN is sold as an individual TOTO replacement part for the Lloyd shower head, so a damaged brushed canopy can be swapped without buying a complete head. Stock it by part number for standardizing repairs across units with Lloyd brushed trim.
