TOTO THU9259#01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is TOTO THU9259#01 the tank lid only, or does it include tank parts?
THU9259#01 is a toilet tank lid assembly, nothing else. It is the ceramic lid that sits on the tank, so flush valves, fill valves, trip levers and tank-to-bowl hardware are separate orders.
2) My TOTO tank lid cracked. How do I know THU9259#01 is the right replacement lid for my toilet?
TOTO tank lids are model specific, so match the part number rather than eyeballing the shape. Pull the existing lid and check the underside, or look up the replacement lid listed for your tank model, and confirm it calls for THU9259 in the #01 Cotton color. A lid from a different TOTO tank will not seat correctly even in the same color.
3) What color is the TOTO THU9259#01 tank lid?
Cotton, which is TOTO's #01 color code. The suffix on the part number is the finish, so ordering THU9259#01 gets you the Cotton lid; a different TOTO color on the same lid would carry a different numeric suffix.
4) Will the Cotton THU9259#01 lid match my existing white TOTO toilet?
Only if that toilet is TOTO Cotton (#01). TOTO sells more than one white, and Cotton will read slightly off next to Colonial White or other shades. Check the color code stamped inside your tank or behind the bowl before ordering a Cotton lid onto an existing fixture.
5) For a multi-family or hotel portfolio of TOTO toilets, can I stock THU9259#01 as a standard spare lid?
It works as a shelf spare only for the TOTO tank model this lid is built for, in Cotton. Lids are not interchangeable across TOTO tank bodies, so a property with several TOTO models needs the matching lid part number for each one rather than one universal lid.
