TOTO 6BU4016 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size is the TOTO 6BU4016 set screw?
The TOTO 6BU4016 is an M5 x 10L set screw, so 5mm metric thread with a 10mm length. If the screw you are replacing measures anything other than M5 x 10mm, it is a different fastener.
2) What does the TOTO 6BU4016 screw actually hold in place?
It is the set screw for a TOTO Nexus paper holder, used to secure the holder to its mounting post or bracket. TOTO lists it as a toilet-area washroom accessory fastener rather than a plumbing valve or tank part.
3) Is the 6BU4016 an original TOTO part or a generic screw?
It is the genuine TOTO service part, manufacturer part number 6BU4016. Ordering by that number is how you get the same thread and length TOTO shipped with the Nexus paper holder instead of guessing at a hardware-store substitute.
4) I manage several buildings with TOTO Nexus toilet paper holders and keep losing the small screw. Can I stock just the screw?
Yes. The 6BU4016 is sold on its own as a replacement fastener, so you can keep a few on the shelf instead of replacing a whole paper holder when a set screw walks off. It is the M5 x 10mm set screw used on the Nexus paper holder.
5) Will the TOTO 6BU4016 screw work on a TOTO flush valve or faucet?
No. The 6BU4016 is specific to the Nexus paper holder as its set screw. Flush valves, faucets and tank trim use their own TOTO service fasteners, so order the part number listed for that specific assembly rather than this one.
