TOTO THU9496 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO THU9496 and what does it do?
THU9496 is a TOTO deodorizer louver, the vented cover over the deodorizer filter on a toilet seat. It is a toilet seat part, not a complete seat or a deodorizer unit on its own.
2) Which TOTO model does the THU9496 deodorizer louver fit?
The THU9496 louver is specified for the TOTO G500. If you are servicing a different washlet or seat model, order the louver called out for that model instead, since deodorizer covers are model specific.
3) Is TOTO THU9496 a replacement deodorizer filter or just the cover?
THU9496 is the louver, meaning the vented grille over the deodorizer. If the smell control has faded rather than the cover being broken or discolored, you most likely need the filter element itself, not this louver.
4) The part is listed as TOTO seat bumpers THU9496 but also as a deodorizer louver, which is it?
Order by the part number, THU9496, which TOTO calls out as the G500 deodorizer louver. Toilet seat bumpers are a separate part number, so if you need the rubber pads the seat rests on, the THU9496 is not the piece you want.
