TOTO THP5318#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I need to order a handshower too, or is this just the hose?
Just the hose. THP5318#CP is a supply hose part only, so the handshower head, the wall supply elbow or slide bar, and any mounting bracket are separate items. If you are replacing a leaking or kinked hose and the head is fine, the hose alone finishes the job.
2) What is TOTO THP5318#CP?
THP5318#CP is a TOTO shower hose, a supply hose used in shower and tub applications. It is the replacement flexible hose that connects a handshower to its supply fitting, ordered as a single TOTO repair part rather than a complete trim kit.
3) Is the TOTO THP5318#CP hose finished in polished chrome?
The #CP suffix on a TOTO part number is the polished chrome finish code, so THP5318#CP is the chrome version of the hose. If your handshower and supply elbow are chrome, this matches; for brushed nickel or other TOTO finishes you need the same THP5318 base number with that finish suffix instead.
4) Will a TOTO shower hose fit another brand's handshower?
Treat THP5318#CP as a TOTO service part for TOTO handshower systems. It is sold as the TOTO replacement hose, and cross-brand fit is not something to assume on a handshower connection. Match the part to a TOTO fitting, and confirm the part number called out for your specific TOTO handshower model before ordering.
5) Can a property manager use the TOTO THP5318#CP on a tub/shower combination?
Yes. The hose is listed for shower and tub use, so it works on a tub deck or wall handshower as well as a shower-only installation. For a building standardizing on TOTO handshowers, ordering the same THP5318#CP across units keeps the chrome finish consistent on every opening.
