TOTO THU6249#01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO part THU6249#01?
THU6249#01 is a TOTO side cover assembly, a replacement cover plate for a toilet or bidet fixture rather than a working valve or fill component. The #01 suffix is TOTO's Cotton color code, so it is the Cotton finish version of the part.
2) I need to replace a cracked side cover on a TOTO fixture. Is this the right kind of part to order?
Yes, if what broke is the trim cover on the side of the unit. THU6249#01 is sold as a cover assembly, a cosmetic and protective plate, so it will not address a flush, fill, or leak problem. For those, order the applicable valve or seal kit. Match the part number stamped on your existing cover and the fixture's color code before ordering, since TOTO uses the same cover geometry across several color suffixes.
3) Does the TOTO THU6249 side cover come in colors other than Cotton?
Only the Cotton version is offered under THU6249#01. TOTO codes color into the suffix after the hash mark, and #01 is Cotton. If the fixture you are matching is a different TOTO color, you need the THU6249 carrying that color's suffix instead, not this one.
4) Is the TOTO side cover assembly sold as a complete piece or do I need extra hardware?
It ships as an assembly, so the cover comes complete rather than as a bare shell. TOTO does not include fixture-side mounting hardware with it, so reuse the screws and clips from the cover you are taking off.
