TOTO THP5079 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) I stripped the screw on my TOTO Soiree robe hook. Can I just use a hardware store M4 screw?
The thread will match any M4 x 0.7 screw, and 12mm is a common length, but the THP5079 is a flat head machine screw finished to match the Soiree trim. A generic zinc or stainless screw will thread in; it just won't match the visible finish if the head sits exposed.
2) Does the THP5079 screw come with the robe hook or do I order it separately?
It's a standalone replacement fastener. If you're buying a complete Soiree robe hook, the mounting screw comes with it. Order the THP5079 when you've lost or damaged the original and need the screw on its own.
3) Will the THP5079 work on other TOTO bath accessories besides the Soiree robe hook?
It's specified as the mounting screw for the TOTO Soiree robe hook. Other TOTO accessory lines use their own fastener part numbers, so match by the accessory's own parts list rather than assuming the M4 x 0.7 x 12 carries across.
4) Do I need a flat head screw specifically, or will a pan head work on the Soiree hook?
Flat head matters here. The THP5079 is an FHMS, meaning the head is countersunk so it seats flush in a chamfered hole. A pan or button head sits proud and can keep the hook from pulling tight to the post or the wall plate.
5) How many THP5079 screws do I need for one robe hook?
Quantity depends on how many the original hook used, so count the holes in the mounting post before ordering. The THP5079 is sold as the individual M4 x 0.7 x 12 flat head screw, not as a set.
