Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness from 1-3/4" to 3-1/4", 2-3/4" backset depth, and handing requirements.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces for mortise lock installation.
3. Prepare door by cutting mortise pocket and drilling required holes for cylinder, lever trim, and through-bolts per manufacturer specifications.
4. Install mortise lock body in prepared pocket and secure lever trim assemblies to door using provided hardware and torque specifications.
5. Adjust latchbolt and deadbolt operation for proper alignment with strike, ensuring smooth 3/4" latchbolt throw and secure latching.
6. Test classroom function operation including key locking from outside, thumbturn operation from inside, and verify inside lever remains always active for emergency egress.
