1) Will the Alarm Lock DL1200 keypad trim work with my Adams Rite deadlatch on an aluminum storefront door?
The DL1200 is built for exactly that retrofit. It works with Adams Rite 4500, 4700 and 4900 series deadlatches, and with 4070, MS18505 and MS19505 series deadbolts. So a typical aluminum glass entry running a 4510 or 4710 deadlatch takes the DL1200 as the outside keypad trim without changing the latch in the door. Two things still have to line up: the door has to be 1-3/4 inches thick, and you have to order the backset that matches the latch already in the stile (31/32, 1-1/8 or 1-1/2 inch).
2) Does the DL1200 come with the latch, or do I need to keep the lock that is in the door?
Outside trim only. The DL1200 is a keypad retrofit for the exterior face of a narrow stile aluminum door, and it operates the Adams Rite deadlatch or deadbolt that is already in the stile.
