1) Will the American Lock A1306 padlock fit a hasp with a 3/4 inch opening?
The A1306 has a 3/8 inch diameter shackle with a 3/4 inch clearance between the legs, so it passes through hasp staples and chain links that accept a 3/8 inch shank. The shackle stands 2 inches tall, which is what gives you the vertical room to get over a thick hasp or through a gate chain. If your hasp staple is drilled for a smaller shank, this body will not seat and you want a lighter safety padlock instead.
