Metallics HRKS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Metallics HRKS kit and what rivet material does it set?
The HRKS is a hand riveter kit from Metallics, supplied in a tray, with steel and zinc blind rivets included. It is a manual tool kit, so no air or battery supply is needed on the job.
2) What is the manufacturer part number to order the Metallics hand riveter kit?
Order it as Metallics part number HRKS. That one part number covers the complete tray kit, so there is nothing further to specify.
3) Is the HRKS riveter kit meant for electrical work or general fastening?
Metallics catalogues the HRKS as an electrical-trade fastening item, and a hand riveter sees the same use in either setting: setting blind rivets through sheet metal, enclosures, strut accessories, and panel work. Nothing about the tool restricts it to electrical jobs.
