Metallics MEF860 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size anchor is the Metallics MEF860, and how many come in a jar?
The MEF860 is a 5/16 by 2-3/8 inch Easy Fix anchor, supplied 50 pieces to a jar. The 5/16 inch figure is the anchor diameter and 2-3/8 inches is the length, so plan your hole depth around the full 2-3/8 inch embedment plus the thickness of whatever you are fastening through.
2) Is the MEF860 sold loose or do I have to buy the full jar of 50?
It ships as a jar of 50 Easy Fix anchors, which is the pack unit for the MEF860. That is a quantity that suits running a full job (strut, boxes, conduit straps) rather than a one-off repair, so buy accordingly.
3) What part number do I order for the Metallics 5/16 x 2-3/8 Easy Fix anchor?
Order Metallics MEF860. That is the manufacturer part number for the 5/16 by 2-3/8 inch Easy Fix anchor in the 50-piece jar, and it is the only configuration offered under that number.
