Metallics TGA6J – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size screw does the Metallics TGA6J Cobra Triplegrip anchor take?
It is the number 6 size in the Cobra Triplegrip line, so it pairs with a #6 sheet metal or anchor screw. If you are hanging something that calls for a #8 or #10 fastener, step up to the matching larger Triplegrip size instead of forcing a heavier screw into this one.
2) How many anchors come in a jar of Metallics TGA6J?
The TGA6J is packed 200 Cobra Triplegrip anchors to a jar, so one order unit covers a full day of device and plate mounting rather than a handful of holes.
3) What is the Metallics TGA6J anchor used for on an electrical job?
It is a hollow wall anchor for fastening into drywall and other hollow substrates, the kind of anchor used to hang low voltage brackets, surface boxes, raceway, device plates and small fixtures where there is no stud behind the finish. Metallics catalogs it in its electrical fastener line.
4) What part number do I order for Metallics number 6 Triplegrip anchors by the jar?
Order Metallics TGA6J. That designation covers the number 6 Cobra Triplegrip anchor supplied in the 200 piece jar, and it is the only configuration under that number, so there is no finish or length option to specify.
