Metallics MWDOBR114J – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What comes in the Metallics MWDOBR114J walldog anchor kit?
It is a 1-1/4 inch walldog anchor kit supplied with the matching drill bit, so you get the anchors and the bit needed to drill for them in one purchase. Finish is zinc plated steel. The anchors ship in an oval head configuration under part number MWDOBR114J.
2) Do I need to buy a separate drill bit for Metallics walldog anchors?
Not with the MWDOBR114J kit. The matching bit is included, so there's no guessing at hole size for these 1-1/4 inch walldog anchors.
3) How are the Metallics MWDOBR114J walldog anchors packaged for a service van or stockroom?
They come in a jar of 100. The jar keeps the anchors and the included bit together, which is why electricians and maintenance crews usually keep one on the truck rather than loose bags.
4) Are these zinc plated walldog anchors suitable for outdoor or wet locations?
Zinc plated steel is a dry interior finish. For mounting boxes, straps, conduit clamps and device plates inside a building it's fine; for exterior or damp locations choose a stainless or hot dip galvanized fastener instead.
