Appleton ALESKO Epoxy Sealing Putty, Two-Part Hazardous Location Sealant
Appleton ALESKO epoxy sealing putty is a two-part liquid epoxy sealing compound engineered for sealing fittings installed in hazardous locations. Supplied in a double barrel dispensing tube, ALESKO prevents the passage of gases, vapors, or flames from one portion of conduit to another, restricting any explosion to the sealed-off enclosure. Sealing fittings using ALESKO are required in Class I, Zone 1 and 2 (Division 1 and 2) locations within 18' of enclosures containing apparatus that may arc, spark, or reach high temperatures, and the compound is rated for operation from -40 °C to +121 °C (-40 °F to +250 °F).
Key Features
- Two-Part Epoxy System: Liquid epoxy seal compound supplied in a double barrel dispensing tube for automatic mixing.
- Automatic Mixing: The two-part epoxy resin and hardener mix automatically as they travel through the static-mixing nozzle, keeping the process fully contained in the dispensing tools.
- High-Thrust Dispensing Gun: A robust two-speed drive system delivers up to 499 kg (1100 lb) of propulsion, with a dent-resistant rod and settings for both high-viscosity and low-to-moderate viscosity materials.
- Reduced Waste: Unused epoxy resin and hardener remaining in the tube can be stored for later use by replacing the mixing nozzle with a dispensing tube plug.
- Labor Savings: Quick, accurate, and efficient mixing and filling reduces installation labor cost.
- Coverage: Each tube will seal over 20 1/2" seals.
- Application Limit: ALESKO is not suitable for use in acetic acid atmospheres.
