The Arlington 81XX siding mounting kits are profile specific, so the back of the block is contoured to seat flush against one siding type: 8131 for 1/4 and 5/16 inch siding and shingles, 8141 for 1/2 inch lap, 8141DBL for 1/2 inch lap double, 8141F for 1/2 inch lap with J-channel, 8151 for 5/8 inch lap, 8171 for Dutch lap, and 8161 for flat surfaces.
