Electrically and in rating they are the same box.
4) Which Arlington ONE-BOX part number do I order for a two-gang or three-gang device?
Gang count is in the part number. Screw-on: F101F single gang, F102F two gang, F103F three gang. Nail-on: FN101F single, FN102F two, FN103F three. So a two-gang switch bank on wood framing at an exterior wall is FN102F; the same opening on steel studs is F102F.
5) Is there a four-gang version of the Arlington ONE-BOX fire rated vapor box?
No. The fire-rated ONE-BOX vapor box runs one, two, and three gang only, in both nail-on and screw-on. For a four-gang or larger opening in a rated envelope wall you need a different approach, not a wider version of this box.
6) Can a metal box be used instead where I need air sealing on an exterior wall?
A standard metal box gives you no air seal and no vapor control at the device opening, so it has to be paired with a sealing boot or caulked and taped at the rough-in. The Arlington ONE-BOX is plastic with the air infiltration protection integral to the box, so the sealing step is already handled. Where the wall is also a 2-hour rated assembly, the ONE-BOX carries that rating and is UL listed.
