1) Is the B-Line E34F1 pushbutton enclosure rated for washdown or outdoor use?
The E34F1 carries NEMA 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings, so it handles hosedown/washdown, corrosive atmospheres, and oil or coolant spray on a plant floor. One caution on UV: where the station is exposed to ultraviolet light, use NEMA 4X 10250T operators in it.
2) How many 30.5 mm operators does the E34F1 enclosure hold?
One. The E34F1 is a single element 30.5 mm enclosure, so it takes one pushbutton, selector switch or pilot light. If you need two or three operators in one station, order a multi-element version of the same corrosion resistant watertight/oiltight family instead.
3) Can I use E30 series pushbuttons in this B-Line cast enclosure?
Yes, but only in the one element size, and the E34F1 is exactly that: a single element enclosure. Multi-element versions of this cast line are not usable with E30 pushbuttons.
4) Does the E34F1 come with the pushbutton or switch installed?
No. The E34F1 is the enclosure only, a one element 30.5 mm housing. You order the operator, legend plate and contact blocks separately, and for UV exposed locations those operators should be NEMA 4X 10250T types.
5) Can contact blocks be base mounted in this cast pushbutton enclosure?
Yes. All of the cast enclosures in this corrosion resistant watertight/oiltight line, including the E34F1, can be converted to base mounting of contact blocks, which helps when you are stacking blocks and want them supported off the enclosure rather than hung on the operator.
6) Will 22 mm pushbuttons fit the E34F1 station?
No. It is drilled for 30.5 mm operators, the standard heavy duty size. A 22 mm button will not mount without an adapter, so match it with 30.5 mm devices such as the 10250T line.
