B-LINE B586GRN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the B-Line B586GRN and what is it used for?
The B586GRN is a two hole z-support, a steel offset bracket used to stand off and support conduit, channel, or pipe runs from a structure where the mounting surface and the run sit on different planes. It carries two mounting holes, one at each offset face.
2) What size is the B-Line B586GRN z-support?
It measures 4.87 in by 3.5 in by 1.62 in and weighs .9 lb. Use the 1.62 in dimension to check the bracket will clear adjacent runs, and the 4.87 in figure to confirm the offset spans the gap you need between the structure and the channel.
3) What does the DURA GREEN finish on the B586GRN mean for corrosion?
DURA GREEN is B-Line's coated steel finish, applied over the steel body of the B586GRN. It is the finish to specify when a plain electro-plated support would not hold up, such as damp or washdown-adjacent areas. For fully submerged or heavy chemical exposure, stainless strut hardware is the usual call instead.
4) Does the B-Line B586GRN come with bolts or channel nuts?
The B586GRN is supplied as the z-support bracket itself. Strut nuts, bolts, and any concrete or steel anchors for the structural side are ordered separately, sized to the channel and the fastener hole you are using.
5) What part number do I order for the B-Line green two hole z-support?
Order B-Line B586GRN. That is the manufacturer part number for the DURA GREEN finished two hole z-support, and it is a single catalogue item with no size or finish options to specify.
6) Is the B586GRN z-support UL listed?
No listing or certification is carried on the B586GRN; it is a mechanical support bracket, not a rated electrical device. Where a job spec calls for listed support hardware, verify against the spec section rather than assuming it from the strut family.
