B-LINE SB2219BYZ – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the B-Line SB2219BYZ V-bolt kit used for?
The SB2219BYZ is an Eaton B-Line auxiliary support kit that clamps a cable rack or runway to round tube or pipe using a V-bolt. The V shape seats against the curve of the tube so the bolt grips without slipping around it, which is what makes it a rack-to-tube attachment rather than a flat-surface bracket.
2) Is the yellow zinc finish on the B-Line SB2219BYZ okay for outdoor or damp locations?
Yellow zinc is a plated finish intended for dry indoor use, typical of telecom rooms, equipment rooms and covered industrial spaces. For exposed outdoor runs or wash-down areas, specify a hot dip galvanized or stainless version of the support hardware instead. The SB2219BYZ as supplied is the yellow zinc variant.
3) Does the SB2219BYZ V-bolt kit come with the nuts, or do I order those separately?
It ships as a kit, meaning the V-bolt and its fastening hardware come together under the single part number SB2219BYZ. You order one kit per attachment point; the cable rack or runway itself and the tube or pipe it mounts to are separate items.
4) Does the B-Line SB2219BYZ kit carry a UL listing or other certification?
No certification applies to this V-bolt support kit. It is mechanical support hardware, not an electrical device, so it is bonded and supported per the installation rather than carrying a listing of its own.
5) Is there more than one size or finish of this B-Line rack-to-tube V-bolt kit?
The SB2219BYZ is a single configuration: yellow zinc finish, one size, no handing or length options to specify. Order by that part number and there is nothing further to select.
