B-LINE SB200203YZ – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the yellow zinc finish on this B-Line support tube suitable for outdoor or wet locations?
The finish is yellow zinc chromate over steel, which is a plated indoor/dry-location finish. It gives corrosion resistance for interior mechanical and electrical rooms, not for direct weather exposure or corrosive wash-down areas. For exterior runs, specify a hot dip galvanized or stainless support instead.
2) Do I need to buy the spacer and bolts separately for the SB200203YZ?
No. The tube, spacer and hardware come pre-assembled in the part, so there is nothing else to source to make the assembly itself up. Anything it attaches to, such as the strut channel or the channel nuts on the far side, is ordered separately.
3) What is the B-Line SB200203YZ support tube and what is it used for?
It's an auxiliary support tube from Eaton's B-Line strut系 hardware line, ordered as part number SB200203YZ. The tube ships pre-assembled with its spacer and mounting hardware, so it goes in as one piece where you need supplemental support on a strut or channel run.
