1) Will the B-Line BRC51-C2 clip fit 12-2 MC cable?
The BRC51-C2 beam fastener holds cable between .43 in and .56 in outside diameter. Measure the jacket OD on your MC or AC whip rather than going by conductor size, since armor OD varies by manufacturer. Anything under .43 in will sit loose in the carrier, and anything over .56 in will not seat.
2) What beam flange thickness does this B-Line clip clamp onto?
It is a flange-mount fastener sized for a maximum mounting thickness of 0.5 in, so it clips onto beam flanges, bar joist angles, or similar steel edges up to a half inch thick. Thicker flanges need a different clip or a threaded-rod hanger arrangement.
