B-LINE B3322ZN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How much load will the Eaton B-Line B3322ZN spot insert carry?
The B3322ZN heavy duty spot insert is rated for 2500 lbs load capacity. That is the published figure for the insert itself; the concrete it is cast into and the fastener you thread through it govern what the assembly actually holds on your job.
2) What is the Eaton B-Line B3322ZN actually used for?
It is a heavy duty spot insert for curtain wall applications, cast into concrete to give a single anchor point for hanging or bracing curtain wall attachments. It is a one point insert, not a continuous channel insert, so use it where you need individual hanger points rather than a run you can slide along.
3) Is the B3322ZN insert finished for use in a damp or exterior slab edge?
The body is steel with an electro-plated zinc finish. Zinc plating handles normal construction exposure and interior conditions; for a permanently wet or coastal exterior condition you would want a hot dip galvanized or stainless anchor instead.
4) What part number do I order for the B-Line curtain wall spot insert?
Order Eaton B-Line B3322ZN. The ZN suffix is the electro-plated zinc finish, and there is a single configuration, so there is no separate size or finish to specify.
