B-Line Eaton series Flex tray wire basket tray, Food preparation and wash down areas applications, Stainless steel type 304, Steel, 107.3" actual area

That is exactly what this Eaton B-Line Flex Tray is specified for. It is type 304 stainless steel, so it tolerates the repeated washdown and sanitizing chemicals used in food preparation areas where plated or painted steel tray corrodes at the cut ends and welds. The open wire basket construction also drains and dries rather than trapping water and debris the way a solid-bottom tray does.

The section measures 18 inches wide, 6.38 inches high, and 118.312 inches in length, with 107.3 inches of usable area inside the tray. Eaton describes it as a 6 inch deep flex tray, so plan cable fill against a nominal 6 inch loading depth across the full 18 inch width.

The tray is steel wire with a type 304 stainless steel specification, not a plated or powder coated carbon steel basket. That matters on a field cut: when you trim a basket tray to length you expose bare wire ends, and on a coated tray those ends are where corrosion starts in a wet environment.

Wire basket tray is the better choice where the ceiling gets hosed down or steam cleaned, because it drains and lets cable dry, and it is easy to drop cable in or out mid-run without pulling through a closed channel. Solid bottom or ventilated ladder tray is what you want where you need physical protection of the cable from falling debris, or where a spec calls for a continuous bottom. This 6 inch deep, 18 inch wide Flex Tray section is the washdown-area version.

Order Eaton B-Line part number FT6X18X10 304LSS. In that designation the 6 is the 6 inch depth, the 18 is the 18 inch width, and 304LSS identifies the type 304 stainless material, which is the piece to confirm if you are matching existing tray in a wash down area.

It is CE marked. That is the certification Eaton publishes for this stainless Flex Tray section, so if your submittal requires a specific third party listing beyond CE, verify against the Eaton submittal sheet for the 304LSS series before you close out the spec.
