B-LINE WB46HGLV – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the B-Line WB46HGLV Flip Clip used for on Flextray wire basket tray?
The WB46HGLV is a Flip Clip, a small fastening piece for Eaton B-Line series Flextray wire basket tray. It is a single hardware component rather than a section of tray, so it is ordered by quantity to suit the number of connection points on the run. Finish is electro-plated zinc galvanized.
2) Is the B-Line Flip Clip UL Listed for use in electrical cable tray runs?
Yes, the WB46HGLV Flip Clip is UL Listed. For an inspector who needs the tray system's components to carry a listing, that is the rating held on this part.
3) How big is the B-Line WB46HGLV Flip Clip, and will it fit in a tight ceiling space?
It is a compact piece: 1 inch height, 1 inch width, and .375 inch length/depth, weighing .104 lb. At that size it adds essentially no profile above or beside the basket tray, so it works in congested plenum and above-ceiling runs where a bulkier splice plate would not clear.
4) Is the electroplated zinc Flip Clip suitable for outdoor or wet locations?
Electro-plated zinc galvanized is a light indoor-duty coating. For a dry interior run, a data room, or above a ceiling it is the normal choice. Sustained outdoor exposure, washdown, or corrosive areas call for a hot-dip galvanized or stainless version of the Flextray hardware instead.
5) Does ordering the WB46HGLV Flip Clip include any tray, splice plates, or bolts?
No. What ships is the Flip Clip itself, model WB46HGLV, one piece at a time. Tray sections, supports, and any other splice or grounding hardware are separate line items, so count your connection points and order the clips to match.
