B-LINE T4KLTHB – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Eaton B-Line T4KLTHB T-handle lock?
No. The T4KLTHB is the large T-handle non-locking version, so it operates the quarter-turn latch but takes no key. If the enclosure needs to be secured against tampering, specify a keyed or padlockable quarter-turn handle instead.
2) Will this T-handle keep a NEMA 4 enclosure watertight?
Yes. The B-Line T4KLTHB is a Type 4 quarter-turn lock/latch assembly rated NEMA 4, so it is intended for enclosures that have to stay sealed against hose-directed water and windblown dust. It is also UL Listed. Using a non-Type 4 handle on a NEMA 4 box breaks that rating at the door.
3) What size enclosure door is the B-Line T4KLTHB handle intended for?
It is called out for a 30 in x 24 in panel, and it is a ground mount type handle assembly, matching B-Line ground-mounted enclosures rather than pole or wall-strap installations.
4) Is the T4KLTHB a complete handle assembly or just the insert?
It is supplied as a lock, latch and handle assembly, which is the whole quarter-turn set rather than a bare insert. Order the matching keeper or door prep separately if your enclosure door is not already punched for a Type 4 quarter-turn.
5) Will a black T-handle match the rest of my B-Line enclosure hardware?
The T4KLTHB comes in black only, a single model with no finish options. If the other doors in the run use black B-Line quarter-turn hardware, it matches; if they are unpainted or stainless, it will read differently.
