1) Will the B-Line WMHPTO handle insert work on a Type 4 or Type 12 enclosure?
The Eaton B-Line WMHPTO is built specifically as a handle insert for Type 4 and Type 12 premier enclosures, wall-mount style. If your enclosure is a different family or a floor-mount/free-stand design, this insert is not the right part.
2) Is the WMHPTO a padlockable handle or a key-locking handle?
Both paths are covered. The WMHPTO is part of the interchangeable padlock, key-lock and no-lock handle program, and this particular insert is the key-locking, keyed version. That means you can standardize on one handle body across a run of enclosures and change the insert where you need padlock provision instead of a key.
3) Is the B-Line WMHPTO handle UL Listed for use on electrical enclosures?
Yes, the WMHPTO carries a UL Listed certification, which is normally what a plant or facility spec calls for on enclosure latching hardware.
4) I need to lock out a control panel door with a padlock instead of a key. Can I use this handle?
The WMHPTO as supplied is the keyed, key-locking insert. Because it belongs to Eaton B-Line's interchangeable padlock, key-lock and no-lock handle line, the padlock provision is a different insert in the same program rather than a modification of this one. Order the padlock insert if a padlock lockout is what you need.
5) Do I need to buy mounting hardware separately for the B-Line WMHPTO insert?
