B-LINE SB590123TG – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the Eaton B-Line SB590123TG, a full rack or just a bracket?
SB590123TG is a guard rail support bracket for Eaton B-Line series open frame relay racks, not a complete rack. It is a steel accessory part that mounts to the rack structure to support guard rail (cable runway guard rail) installations. If you need the rack itself, you order the open frame rack separately and add this bracket for the guard rail.
2) Is the B-Line SB590123TG UL Listed for use in a telecom or data room?
It is UL Listed. That matters for AHJ sign-off on telecom and data room buildouts where inspectors want listed rack and support components rather than fabricated steel.
3) What are the dimensions and weight of the B-Line SB590123TG guard rail support bracket?
The bracket measures 25.88 in (length/depth), 23 in (width) and .125 in (height, which is the 12 gauge steel thickness). It weighs 12.6 lb, so it is a two-hand part but well within a single installer's lift on a ladder.
4) Will this bracket match the finish on my existing Telco gray B-Line racks and runway?
Yes. The SB590123TG is finished in Telco grey lacquer, the same standard gray used across the Eaton B-Line open rack and cable runway line, so it blends with existing telco gray infrastructure in an equipment room. If your room was built out in black, this part will not match.
5) Does the SB590123TG come with mounting hardware, and is there more than one version to pick from?
There is a single model, SB590123TG, so there is no size, finish or handing choice to specify when ordering, just quantity. Plan on sourcing your rack attachment hardware and the guard rail sections separately, since what ships is the support bracket itself.
6) How heavy a duty bracket is this, and is 12 gauge steel enough for guard rail on a loaded rack?
The bracket is formed from steel at .125 in thick, which is 12 gauge, and it weighs 12.6 lb on its own. That is the same gauge Eaton uses through its open frame rack accessory line, so it is a structural support part rather than a sheet metal trim piece.
