The Eaton B-Line SB5867108TG open frame rack is built as a Seismic Zone 4 network bay open duct rack, so it is the right choice where the drawing calls for Zone 4 seismic rating. It is also UL Listed. Anchoring to the floor and any overhead bracing still has to follow the structural detail for your site.

The rails on this Eaton B-Line open rack are punched with 12-24 panel mounting holes, which is the telecom standard for patch panels, rack-mount wire managers and most network gear shipped for open frame use. Gear supplied with 10-32 or M6 cage nut hardware will not thread into a 12-24 hole, so order 12-24 rack screws to match.

Top channel means the frame is capped with a channel across the uprights, which is the structural tie point for bolting the rack to overhead ladder rack or cable runway and for ganging multiple bays into a row. That is how open duct network bays are normally installed, and it is part of what makes the Zone 4 rating achievable. The runway, ganging hardware and anchors are separate items.

An open duct network bay gives you access from all four sides, better passive airflow and the cheapest path for high-density copper termination, which is why it dominates telecom and IDF rooms. Pick an enclosed cabinet instead when you need locked physical security, dust control, or door-mounted fans. This B-Line frame is the open route: no doors, no sides, 50 mounting spaces of open rail.
