B-LINE SB719234XLTG – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the B-Line horizontal cable manager come with mounting screws, or do I have to order them separately?
Mounting hardware is included, in 12-24 thread. That is the standard rack thread on B-Line open frame racks, so you can bolt the panel to the rails out of the box without sourcing a separate screw pack.
2) How much rack space does the 6.5 inch B-Line horizontal cable panel take up?
The panel is 6.5 inches high, which works out to about 3.7 rack units at the standard 1.75 inch per RU, so plan on it occupying 4 RU of usable rail space between patch panels or switch groups.
3) How far does this B-Line cable management panel stick out from the rack?
Depth is 7 inches off the mounting plane, so allow that much clearance in front of (or behind, depending on how you orient it) the rails when you are laying out aisle space or planning a rack in a tight telecom room.
4) What is the B-Line SB719234XLTG actually for?
It is a rack mounted horizontal cable management panel, used to route and hold wire bundles as they cross between patch panels, switches and the vertical managers on an open frame rack. It is not a rack itself and not an enclosure, just the horizontal organizer that keeps jumper slack off the floor and off the equipment faces.
5) Will the finish on this B-Line panel match the rest of my existing B-Line telco racks?
The panel is finished in telco gray powder coat, the same grey used across the Eaton B-Line open frame rack line, so it blends with existing telco gray racks and vertical managers rather than standing out as a mismatched piece.
6) Is this cable manager steel or plastic, and will it hold up in a heavily used MDF?
It is A569 steel with a powder coat finish, not molded plastic, so the fingers and body take repeated re-dressing of cable bundles without cracking. At 2.4 lb it adds almost nothing to the rack load.
