B-LINE SB86086S090FB – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Eaton B-Line SB86086S090FB vertical cable manager fit a 7-foot open frame rack?
The SB86086S090FB stands 84.875 inches tall, which is the full usable height of a standard 7-foot (84 inch rail) open frame rack, so it runs the whole side of the rack rather than a partial section. Footprint is 6 inches wide by 10.8125 inches deep, so allow that much clearance beside the rack uprights in your aisle layout.
2) How does this B-Line RCM cable manager mount, and can I hang a PDU on it?
It uses direct PDU mounting, so a rack PDU bolts straight to the manager body instead of eating rack units in the front rails. Cable sections attach with push-in fasteners, so routing hardware goes on without loose screws.
3) Do cables stay put in this manager when the door or cover is taken off?
Yes. The high density plastic fingers are the retention, not the cover, so bundles stay in the channel when doors are opened or removed. That matters in an open frame installation where there is no door at all.
4) Is the Eaton B-Line RCM cable manager UL listed for a data center spec?
UL is the certification carried on the SB86086S090FB. If your submittal package requires UL on rack accessories, this one satisfies that line item.
5) Does the SB86086S090FB come with the cable section or is that ordered separately?
The vertical cable section is included, along with the push-in fasteners to secure it. You are not buying a bare channel and sourcing fingers after the fact.
6) Is this vertical cable manager aluminum or steel, and what is the finish?
The frame is aluminum with a flat black powder coat, and the finger and routing components are black plastic. Everything reads black, so it matches standard black open frame racks and bays already in the room.
