B-LINE SB860810D066FB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is Eaton B-Line SB860810D066FB, a rack or a cable manager?
SB860810D066FB is a double sided vertical cable manager with cover that mounts to an Eaton B-Line series open frame rack. It is not the rack itself. Its job is providing cable support alongside the mounting rack space, so you order it in addition to the open frame rack it dresses.
2) What are the dimensions of the B-Line SB860810D066FB vertical cable manager?
Height is 60.375 inches, width 10 inches, and length/depth 21.625 inches. The 10 inch width is the usable cable channel dimension you need to allow for beside the rack rails, and the 60.375 inch height covers roughly 34 rack units of vertical run, so on a full 45U cabinet you would need additional or taller management above it.
3) Does the B-Line SB860810D066FB come with mounting hardware and cable straps?
Push in fasteners and a cable strap mount are included, so you get the attachment hardware and the strap anchoring point in the box. The manager ships with its cover as part of the assembly. Rack rails, the open frame rack, and any hook and loop straps you intend to bundle with are separate.
4) Is this cable manager UL listed for a data center or institutional install?
UL certification is carried on the B-Line SB860810D066FB cable manager, which is what most facility and government specs call for on rack infrastructure. Note the listing itself is the UL reference; no fire rating or other standard is claimed for it.
5) Do I need one or two of these per rack?
Being double sided, a single SB860810D066FB manages cable on both faces of the channel, which suits a rack in a row where it sits between two racks and serves both. For a standalone rack where you want dressed cable on the left and right rails, order two.
6) What finish is this cable manager and will it match black open frame racks already installed?
Flat black powder coat over aluminum, with black plastic components, so it matches flat black B-Line open frame racks. If your existing racks are a gloss black or a grey, expect a visible difference in sheen rather than a color mismatch.
7) Is aluminum strong enough for a heavily loaded vertical cable manager?
The body is aluminum with a flat black powder coat, which is standard for vertical managers because the cable load is carried in the channel and against the rack, not by the manager as a structural member. The rack itself takes the equipment weight; this part organizes and supports the cable bundles.
