B-LINE SB860812D096EW – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How wide is the Eaton B-Line SB860812D096EW vertical cable manager, and will it fit between racks in a lineup?
The B-Line SB860812D096EW is a 3.25 inch wide vertical cable manager, so it needs 3.25 inches of clear space alongside the rack frame it mounts to. Plan your row layout around that width plus the rack widths themselves. Overall it measures 3.25 in wide, 90.125 in in length/depth, and 96 in in height.
2) Can I mount a vertical PDU in this B-Line cable manager?
Direct PDU mounting is the stated mounting method, so a vertical PDU can be fixed inside the manager channel rather than eating rack units in the frame. The channel also includes a vertical cabling section, so power and data can run the full height side by side.
3) Can I get to the cabling from both the front and the back of the rack?
Yes. The manager has an access door gate on both the front and the rear, so a technician can dress and re-route bundles from either aisle without pulling the assembly apart. That matters in a hot-aisle/cold-aisle room where you cannot always reach one side.
4) Is the B-Line SB860812D096EW UL listed?
UL is the certification carried on this Eaton B-Line vertical cable manager. If your facility spec or inspector requires UL on rack and cable management components, this one satisfies it.
5) What is this cable manager made of, and will the white finish match my existing Eaton racks?
The body is aluminum with Eaton white powder coat and black plastic components. That is the same white powder coat used across the Eaton B-Line series, so it will read as a match next to white B-Line open frame racks. If your room is standardized on black frames, order the black version instead.
