B-LINE SB862HRD6096FB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Eaton B-Line SB862HRD6096FB actually used for?
It is an RCM door kit for Eaton B-Line vertical cable managers, not a rack frame on its own. The kit gives you a hinged front door panel that closes over the cable manager channel so the patch cords are hidden and contained. It ships with the mounting hardware needed to hang it.
2) Which Eaton B-Line cable managers does the SB862HRD6096FB door kit fit?
The door kit is made for the SB860, SB862 and SB864 cable managers. If your vertical manager is one of those three, the door mounts to it. Anything outside that group is a different prep and this kit is not the part to order.
3) Do I need extra brackets or screws to install the B-Line RCM door kit?
No separate hardware purchase is needed for the door itself. Mounting hardware comes in the box. You will still need the vertical cable manager (SB860, SB862 or SB864) already installed on the rack, since the door hangs off the manager rather than the rack rails.
4) What material and finish is the B-Line SB862HRD6096FB door kit?
Steel, finished in black. That matches the standard black finish on B-Line open frame racks and vertical managers, so a retrofit door on an existing black rack line-up will not stand out.
