B-LINE SB837084CFB – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What are the dimensions and weight of the Eaton B-Line SB837084CFB rack?
The SB837084CFB is 84 in high, 19 in wide, with an 84 in length/depth figure, and it weighs 63 lb. Plan the wall and floor area around those numbers, and get a second person for the lift and hold at 63 lb of bare steel before any gear goes in.
2) Is the B-Line SB837084CFB UL Listed for a commercial telecom room?
Yes, it carries a UL Listed certification, which is what most institutional and facility specs call for on a rack or enclosure going into an IT or telecom room.
3) What does the dual hinge feature on this B-Line wall mount cabinet actually give me?
It is a dual hinge wall mount cabinet, meaning the body swings as well as the door. That lets you reach the rear of installed equipment and the cabling behind it without pulling the cabinet off the wall, which matters in a tight closet where you have no back clearance.
4) What gauge steel is the B-Line SB837084CFB made from?
Frame material is steel at 16 gauge. That is the load-bearing thickness for the cross and attachment members, so it takes rack-mount switchgear and patch panels without the rails flexing when you torque mounting screws.
5) Do I have to drill and tap the rails myself, or are they pre-drilled?
Cross and attachment members come pre-drilled, so mounting holes are already in place and the install is bolt-up rather than layout, drill and tap on site.
6) What is the exact part number to order this Eaton B-Line rack?
Order it as Eaton B-Line model SB837084CFB. That is the only configuration this model covers, so there is no finish, height or gauge option to specify separately, black powder coat, 84 in height and 16 gauge steel are fixed to the part number.
7) Does the SB837084CFB come with wall anchors or lag bolts for mounting?
Mounting fasteners are not part of what is supplied. Because the assembly weighs 63 lb empty before any equipment load, the anchors have to suit your wall construction, through-bolts or plate into studs for wood or steel framing, and properly rated concrete anchors for masonry. Specify those separately with the load you intend to hang.
8) Will the black finish on the SB837084CFB match my other B-Line racks?
Finish is a flat black powder coat, the standard black used across Eaton B-Line rack and enclosure lines, so it reads consistently alongside existing black open frame racks and ladder rack in the same room. Powder coat also holds up better than paint to cable pulls and tool contact.
