Mounting hardware is included, and it is #12-24 thread, which is the common rack thread on tapped open frame racks. If your rack rails are tapped 10-32 or use square hole cage nuts, the supplied #12-24 screws will not thread in and you will need matching fasteners for your rails.

This one is a solid shelf, so it gives you a continuous flat surface with no perforations. That is what you want for setting down small non-rackmount boxes, power bricks, modems, media converters, or tools during service work. If the equipment you are stacking dumps heat upward and relies on airflow through the shelf, a vented or perforated shelf is the better choice.

It mounts at the front rails of the rack. The shelf is 19 inches deep off the mounting plane, so on a two post open frame relay rack the load cantilevers out front. The shelf itself weighs 14.2 pounds empty, so account for that plus whatever you set on it when you are judging what a two post rack can carry, and keep heavy items low in the rack.

It is built for Eaton B-Line series open frame racks. In a closed cabinet with square hole rails and adjustable depth rails, a four post cabinet shelf is the correct part instead, since this one is designed around open rack rail mounting with #12-24 hardware.
