B-LINE SB862BRC12090EW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What exactly is the Eaton B-Line SB862BRC12090EW, a cable manager or just a cover?
It's the removable back cover for an Eaton B-Line RCM vertical cable manager, not the manager itself. Steel, 12 inches wide, 90 inches tall, finished in Eaton white powder coat, and it has cable routing built into the back panel. If you need the vertical manager body or the rack, those are separate items.
2) Which Eaton B-Line cable managers does the SB862BRC12090EW cover work with?
It's made for use with the SB860 and SB862 vertical cable managers on Eaton B-Line open frame racks. Ordering it for a different width or a different manager family means it won't line up.
3) Does the cover come off for adding cable later, or is it fixed?
It's removable. That's the point of the part: you pull the back cover to lay in or re-dress cable in the vertical channel, then put it back. Cable routing openings are part of the back panel itself.
4) What part number do I put on the purchase order for the 12 inch by 90 inch white RCM back cover?
Order Eaton B-Line SB862BRC12090EW. That number carries the 12 inch width, 90 inch height, and white powder coat finish in it.
5) Will the white finish match the rest of my Eaton B-Line rack gear?
The cover ships in Eaton white powder coat, the same finish used across B-Line open frame rack accessories, so it matches white racks and white managers in the same room. It will stand out against black racks.
6) How heavy is this cover and can one tech handle it?
At 9.6 lb for a 90 inch steel panel it's a one-person part, though its length makes it awkward to carry alone through a finished corridor. Mounting hardware is included with the cover.
