B-LINE SB58106YZ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do the plastic end caps come with the B-Line SB58106YZ bracket or do I order them separately?
Plastic end caps are included with the bracket. They cap the open ends of the steel so cable jackets are not dragged across a cut edge, which matters most when you are tying in fiber or small-gauge patch cable.
2) What is the Eaton B-Line SB58106YZ cable tie bracket used for?
It is a steel cable tie bracket for Eaton B-Line series open frame racks. You mount it to the rack and run cable ties through it to dress and route cable bundles along the frame instead of letting them hang on the rails. Plastic end caps are included.
3) Is the yellow zinc finish on this B-Line bracket OK for an indoor data room, or will it corrode?
The SB58106YZ carries a yellow zinc chromate finish over steel. That is a plated corrosion-resistant coating suited to conditioned indoor equipment rooms and IT closets. For wet or outdoor exposure you want a hot dip galvanized or stainless cable management part instead.
4) What part number do I quote for the B-Line yellow zinc metal cable tie bracket?
Order it as Eaton B-Line SB58106YZ. That is the single catalog number covering the steel, yellow zinc chromate metal cable tie bracket with end caps, so there is no size or finish option to specify on the order.
5) Does the SB58106YZ cable tie bracket carry a UL listing or other certification?
The SB58106YZ is a passive steel cable management bracket and is supplied as a non-certified accessory. If your specification calls for a listed cable management component, that requirement has to be met by another item in the pathway, not by this bracket.
