The SB5846090TG gives 48 mounting spaces over a 90 inch tall frame. That is the usable panel space for switches, patch panels and rack-mount gear; plan your panel and cable manager heights against 48 spaces, not against the raw 90 inches, since the top angle and base consume some of the height.

Tapped 12-24 panel mounting holes. So you mount equipment with 12-24 screws directly into the rail, no cage nuts and no square-hole cabinet hardware. If your gear ships with 10-32 or M6 hardware you will need 12-24 rack screws instead, and any equipment expecting square-hole cage nuts will not mount on this rail.

Open frame, two-post style with a top angle. Open racks are the normal choice for telecom and network rooms where you want full cable access from every side and you are relying on room cooling. If you need lockable doors, side panels, or dust and tamper protection for the gear, an open duct rack is the wrong product type and you want an enclosed network cabinet instead.

The frame footprint works out from a 23 inch width and 90 inch depth figure, at 90 inches tall. Because it is an open frame rather than an enclosure, you also need front and rear working clearance for cabling and service access, so lay it out with aisle space on both sides rather than against a wall.

Steel to ASTM A1011SS with a telco gray powder coat. Telco gray is the standard shade used across B-Line series open racks, so it lines up visually with existing B-Line bays in the same room. Powder coat over structural sheet steel holds up in a conditioned equipment room; it is not a product for damp or exterior locations.

The rack itself is the frame with 12-24 tapped rails. Budget separately for the items an open bay install normally needs: 12-24 rack screws, vertical and horizontal cable managers, floor anchors for the base, and any overhead ladder rack or runway the cabling drops from. None of those are part of the rack.

89.23 lb bare. That is a two-person carry and it will pass through a standard door opening laid down, but at 90 inches tall it will not stand upright in most elevators or under a low ceiling grid, so plan to walk it in horizontally and stand it up on site.
