B-LINE SB2129U18FB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What gauge and finish is the B-Line SB2129U18FB dropout, and will it match black ladder rack?
It is 18 gauge A569 steel with a flat black powder coat, which is the standard finish on black telecom runway, so it blends with an existing black rack run. Bare or gray runway will show a color difference.
2) Is the Eaton B-Line runway dropout UL Listed?
Yes. The SB2129U18FB runway dropout is UL Listed, which is the line item most institutional and data center specs ask for on runway accessories.
3) How much does the 18 inch B-Line dropout weigh for overhead load planning?
2.7 lb. That is light enough that it adds essentially nothing to the runway's supported load, but the cable bundle it carries is what you size the threaded rod and supports around, not the dropout.
4) Does the dropout come with the cable ties or hardware to attach it?
It ships as a kit with the steel dropout and the tie down holes punched in it. Cable ties or hook and loop wraps are a separate buy, and mounting hardware to the runway should be confirmed against what your rack run already uses.
