Yes. The B-Line SB1909FB pan is made to be trimmed in the field, so a 120 inch stick can be cut to length at a wall, a rack drop, or the last section of a run. The .032 inch aluminum cuts with ordinary sheet metal tools.
2) What does a runway pan actually do in a cable runway, and do I need one?
A runway pan lays in the bottom of the ladder-style runway to give continuous support for cable between the rungs. If you are running small-diameter or bundled cable (fiber jumpers, patch cord, small coax) that would sag or get damaged over open rungs, the pan gives it a flat bearing surface. Straight power feeders or large-diameter cable on a rung-spaced runway generally do not need it.
3) What finish is the 9 inch B-Line runway pan, and will it match black runway?
Flat black powder coat over aluminum, so it matches standard flat black finished cable runway and ladder rack rather than the gray or zinc finishes. If your existing runway is gray, this pan will not match it visually.
4) How heavy is a 10 foot section of this runway pan for overhead handling?
3.4 lb for the full 120 inch stick. Aluminum at .032 inch thick, so one person can set a length overhead without a lift, though the long thin section is floppy and easier handled by two on a tall ladder run.
