The Eaton B-Line SB12610FB is a retaining post that mounts vertically on cable runway to raise the side wall, so you can stack cable higher without it spilling over the edge. Its stated purpose is to increase cable capacity fill. Use them in pairs along a run wherever you are adding cable above the original runway height.

The post is 10 inches high, so it extends the retaining height of the runway by that much above the mounting point. Overall it measures 10 x 1.5 x .375 inches and weighs .9 lb, so it adds almost nothing to the load on the runway.

The retaining post is UL Listed. For a facility inspection or a spec that calls for listed runway components, that is the certification on record for this post.

The SB12610FB is sold as a single post, one model with no size or finish options. Posts are installed at intervals down both stringers, so count the mounting points on your run and both sides of the runway when you work out quantity.

Retaining posts are the retrofit answer: they raise the effective side height on runway that is already installed and loaded, which is why the stated application is increasing cable capacity fill. If you are building new and already know the final fill, specifying runway with a deeper stringer from the start is cleaner than posting an undersized run. For an existing overloaded run, the 10 inch post avoids pulling cable out to swap stringers.
